Every single man and woman on earth has the ability to astral project.
It’s not something which only a few can do in fact, the only difference between those people who can astral project at will and those who rarely do so is practice!
The art of astral projection is ancient in the same way as yoga or meditation and deserves respect. It is known by many different names and types. There are also various ways to accomplish astral projection.
One of these methods is lucid dreaming. This is something you probably already know something about. This, of course is when you are able to control your dreams because you are conscious and in full control of your faculties in the dream. You can begin lucid dreaming by telling yourself “I am dreaming” while you are in a dream.
If you keep doing this, you will become conditioned to being aware when you are dreaming. It may be hard for a beginner to astral project with this random practice.
You need to believe that astral projection does work and is a reality. You have already experienced it but you do not realize it.
If you have ever woken up in the middle of the night and recalled a dream as if it was real, this is a form of astral projection.
The key to projecting is to believe that you can do it. This belief will help to eliminate doubts about astral projection and can propel you into becoming a pro.
Relaxation techniques such as meditation can help you prepare to astral project. Meditation is one of the best ways to prepare for astral projection the key is to find a regular meditation routine which can get you the relaxation you need.
Choose a room where you will not be distracted, have a comfortable place to sit and where you will be able to have peace and quiet.
Do not focus on any problems you are having. Center your thoughts on your breathing, breath slow and deep. Picture your problems and stresses flowing out with each breath. This is very effective in achieving the deep state of relaxation needed to astral project.
Reaching an alternate state of consciousness is the next step. Continue to work on breathing and now your primary goal is to remove stress and completely clear your mind.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. As breathing becomes slower and deepens, focus on your body and relaxing it.
Begin with your toes and move on up your body telling each part to relax. When you breathe out, tell each part of your body to relax. You can also tense the muscles up first and then relax them, whichever works best for you.
With each exhalation, you should feel the tension leaving your body. Once your body is completely and totally relaxed you will be ready to move onto the next stage necessary for you to successfully astral project.
Once you are fully relaxed, you may be ready to fall asleep don’t doze off, you’re almost there! Repeat a phrase to yourself to stay focused. It doesn’t matter what this mantra is. Even “around the corner” can work just choose a phrase which you can focus on and repeat it.
An inactive mind gets bored easily; you may find yourself drifting into some random thoughts. Do not allow this to happen. If this does happen then you will need to start over. You need to keep repeating the phrase you select to keep your mind from wandering.
To actually reach an altered state of consciousness, there are several methods. You can repeat your statement to reach this next level.
Or you can use the body of light technique. This technique is where you see a body of light in your mind that you envision yourself turning into.
You will experience three separate feelings when your astral body is projecting. You will have the sensation that you are moving. You will see lights and colors before your eyes even though they are closed. At this point, your astral body is going into the astral world.
Last, you’ll hear voices. These voices will either be urging you to continue or to stop this is a sure fire sign that you are on your way to astral projecting.
